   Children Teach Children – Program Report An Edutop Summer Initiative | May 1st – 31st, 2025 Overview: The Children Teach Children program was launched as a unique summer initiative by Edutop , aimed at making learning more engaging, meaningful, and peer-driven. Unlike conventional models where children receive help from adults, this program flipped the script— children became teachers to fellow children . The idea, though unconventional, was met with surprising enthusiasm and success. Program Concept: The program welcomed all school-going children to participate as either teachers or learners . Each teaching child selected a subject area they were confident in—mainly Literacy (reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary) or Numeracy (core operations, word problems)—and were matched with younger learners based on grade levels. Overview The Teachers’ Growth Program (TGP) was developed by Edutop as a tailored teacher training initiative to support and enhance the professional development of Kenyan teachers. This program was crafted in response to the evolving educational landscape in Kenya, particularly with the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) and the need for dynamic, reflective, and student-centred teaching.
